Reservoir Pontoon Hire UK | Pumps, Boats & Cranes
One Supplier. Complete Package.
Safe Floating Access for Reservoir Maintenance
Reservoir projects can involve changing water levels, steep banks, restricted crane access and equipment positioned well away from the shore.
Marine Plant Hire Scotland can supply the pontoons, work boats, lifting equipment, transport, installation and removal required to create a practical floating workspace around the project.
01
Modular Work Pontoons
Adaptable floating platforms for personnel, inspection equipment, pipework, pumps, tools and lightweight plant.
02
Electric Work Boats
Pioner Multi work boats with electric propulsion for freshwater sites where petrol or diesel engines are restricted.
03
Heavy-Duty Barges
Modular steel NATO pontoons for cranes, larger pumps, construction plant and heavier reservoir equipment.
Pump Installation & Recovery
Floating Platforms With Lifting Equipment
Pontoons can be configured with a central opening or clear working area, allowing pumps and equipment to be lifted directly through or beside the platform.
Depending on the load and working radius, we can provide A-frames, lifting beams, chain hoists, rigging equipment or pontoon-mounted HIAB crane solutions.
Typical Applications
✓ Submersible pump installation
✓ Pump recovery and replacement
✓ Reservoir intake maintenance
✓ Valve and pipework inspection
✓ Temporary pipe and hose support
✓ Water sampling and surveying
Freshwater Operations
Electric Work Boats With No Fuel Carried on the Water
Some reservoirs and drinking-water sites restrict petrol and diesel engines to reduce the risk of fuel contamination. For suitable projects, we can supply electric outboard propulsion with no petrol or diesel carried on the water.
Our Pioner Multi provides a stable working deck and hydraulically operated bow door for moving personnel, tools and equipment between the bank and floating platform.
Work boat, safety boat and pontoon-positioning support from one practical vessel.
Heavy-Duty Reservoir Works
Modular Steel NATO Pontoon System
Larger pumps, cranes and construction equipment require a more substantial platform. Our road-transportable steel NATO pontoons can be connected on site to create a heavy-duty floating work barge.
Using our full nine-section system, configurations can provide approximately 22 tonnes of gross buoyancy capacity. The permitted equipment payload depends on the pontoon arrangement, weight distribution, freeboard, stability and lifting forces.
Heavy Pumps
Large submersible pumps, pipework and associated equipment.
HIAB Cranes
Engineered crane arrangements for controlled lifting over water.
Construction Plant
Floating platforms for heavier equipment and materials.
Supply Barges
Moving equipment to remote working areas around the reservoir.
Complete Project Support
From Site Survey to Final Removal
Site Assessment
Access, water depth, bank conditions and working requirements.
System Design
Pontoon layout, lifting equipment, anchoring and work boat selection.
Installation
Delivery, launching, assembly and positioning by our team.
Removal
Dismantling and collection once the project is complete.
